A signed copy of Ross Gay’s “Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude” is slowly on it’s way to me. I think this part of my life could really be titled the same. Dear Lord, I think that could be the title of this day and this week, this month, this year. The sun flooded the window and a warm breeze found it’s way through my hair while Lauren gushed about her garden plans. Honey’s back rises and falls slowly in slumber near my feet. My freckles stretched their arms and threw the covers back from their winter hibernation. They rolled out of bed, bright eyed and bushy tailed. Rubbed their eyes and popped up all over my cheeks and shoulders.
Frogs sing as the sun sets, and I couldn’t be happier or more grateful.
